The Campaign

Greenwich Pizza decided to change the game by giving young Filipinos a new reason to love pizza on World Pizza Day, with the help of an item they can’t live without, their mobile phone.

Creative Execution

Using Bluetooth technology, the Gbox automatically links to a mobile phone that transforms it into a console. To match the box, we’ve created three addicting mobile games that can be played by a group of four and downloaded on google play. The more games the friends played, the more pizza slices consumed!

The Greenwich Gbox drew crowds during its launch at the World Pizza Day giving these Filipino kids another reason to love their favorite Greenwich pizza. Number of people who lined up for Gbox: 5,000 + Minutes of gameplay: 3, 840 + Number of pizzas scored: 21, 760 + The Greenwich Gbox will soon be available for delivery, along with new games to play with friends. Who would have thought that a simple pizza box can be a game changer? G?

Explain why the method of promotion was most relevant to the product or service

The Greenwich GBox transformed how our young tech-savvy customers consume pizza and brought back the fun of sharing a box of pizza with friends. In this age of new experiences, the GBox underscores the role of technology in deepening brand interaction with its audience. And most importantly, it differentiated Greenwich Pizza among its competitors during its launch on World Pizza Day.

Young Filipinos are huge mobile gamers. In gaming lingo, ‘G’ means Game. ‘G’ also happens to be the Greenwich logo. By infusing the Filipino kids’ love for mobile gaming into their pizza experience, we’ve invented the Greenwich Gbox: the first ever pizza box multiplayer game console.
