A production about the relationship between humanity and technology.
Visuals comprising a complex combination of flesh-and-blood humans and humans formed from 3D scanned data, and the copy, "Breathing with Bit," show that humans and technology have an indispensable partnership with each other. The red line represents the data and reminds one of body cells and blood vessels. The data itself also appeared like a flesh-and-blood human.
Distributed a tabloid-style pamphlet to all audience members to facilitate understanding of the show and enormously help convey the concept.
(In Japan, the tendency has always been to receive machines and technology with affection, as more than mere contraptions, but as pals or friends, as exemplified by Doraemon and Astro Boy.) The production expresses how recent advances in areas like IoT and AI have made the relationship between humanity and technology more seamless, brought technology closer to us, and turned it into a partner we cannot do without.
