Brief Explanation

The Sydney Symphony Orchestra wait for Tim Minchin to walk on stage and sit at his piano. They begin playing the much loved Crowded House song ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’. The orchestra is in full stride, as is Minchin and his piano. Then something unexpected happens, the horn section stops playing and fades into darkness. A few moments later the wind section also fades out. Section by section the orchestra fades out altogether. Graphics appear and explain the affects of MND on the human body. Minchin is the only one left performing. He loses the ability to sing, then the ability to play, and finally breathe. The stage goes black. The viewer is prompted to donate. Those who donate are rewarded with a video of Minchin and the orchestra coming back to life and performing the rest of the song.
