This promotion for “Nobunaga’s Ambition” (Nintendo DS) features an innovative blog widget approach that recreates the fighting of the Age of Warring States. When the user interacts with the samurai, the irritable warrior loses his temper without reason. Purposely providing no explanation about how to use it, the “unfriendly” widget suddenly declares war on the user’s precious blog and destroys it. This is the essence of its entertainment. Contrary to the priority on the game-like amusement or practicality of expected of regular widgets, the unique style of entertainment of this ominous, unconventional widget quickly won popularity in the blog world.
