Saga Prefecture has sought to expand and enhance the enjoyment of its local specialty brand of live seafood—Yobuko squid ikizukuri (live squid sashimi from the Yobuko area)—beyond that of simply eating live squid. Using a type of digital media known as a 3DCG holographic installation, Saga has created an original brand experience that enables people to vividly feel and relate to the live squid to an even greater extent than by simply eating it.
