Mentos equipped a popular café in Kuala Lumpur with hidden cameras to conduct a social experiment. We rigged the free wifi of the café to grant people access only after they fulfilled a task involving a stranger (one of the other café guests.) Our goal was to get people to interact with each other, instead with their mobile devices. This proved to be a total success! The result of this unscripted experiment are funny and heartwarming exchanges between strangers, showing to Asian millennials that a real-life conversation can be more fun than any online chat.
