A nice old nanna takes a sip from an ornate tea cup labelled with the word ‘Lesbian’. Looking straight to camera, she comments “I’m not. But there’d be nothing wrong with it if I was”. From here, our forward-thinking grannie addresses her audience as if some kind of vlogger, informing them of the importance of voting in the Australian Marriage Equality plebiscite. She tells the younger voters that, if their vote is going to count, they need to physically ‘post’ it. She then produces a replica of an Australia Post box, made entirely from sponge cake, and gives her audience a letter-posting demonstration, using a biscuit as an envelope.
