How on earth do you make air conditioning sexy? You shoot it like you would a James Bond movie… To demonstrate Daikin’s brand promise of the BEST AIR ANYWHERE, we decided to truly TORTURE TEST its air conditioning units by transporting them to the HOTTEST and COLDEST places in Australia to see how they would perform under extreme pressure. Would Daikin be able to withstand the searing heat of Coober Pedy in South Australia (famous for being so hot that people live underground!), and the freezing cold of Mt Hotham, a snowy mountainous winter wonderland in Victoria? We wanted to create an iconic distinctive asset which could in time become synonymous with the brand, so we built a GIANT, ROOM-SIZE, PERSPEX BOX which would tell the story of the superb heating and cooling capabilities of the brand, stuck our handsome protagonist in it, and let the distinctly Aussie story unfold…
