Kagawa Prefecture, a producing center of udon noodles, promotes itself as the “udon prefecture.” Kagawa Prefecture published amazing news last year: Babies stop crying as they hear someone slurp udon noodles. To verify this study result, Jun Kaname, a vice-governor of the udon prefecture, tried to make a baby stop crying by slurping udon noodles on his own in the presence of the baby. The experiment was recorded in a movie titled “Udon slurping sounds really make a baby stop crying?”
