A king on a deer hunt is saved from drowning by a mysterious woman with a beautiful voice. She disappears before he can even thank her. The king seeks and finds the woman who is later revealed to have bad complexion. He insists that he cares for her the beauty of her heart first, and says that everything external can be fixed with a quick visit to Guardian - where all her skin ailments can be solved.
We stayed well away from typical commercial actors and instead casted talents that were all sourced from Aswara, our national Academy of Cultural Arts. Each cast member was specially picked for his or her very specific skills in dancing, singing and acting to restore interest in cultural arts that younger Malaysians don't seem to take to these days. With 7.1 million views on Facebook (and counting) during the campaign period, we were reassured that our choice of actors was indeed on-point and appropriate for an audience who has perhaps forgotten how compelling their traditional arts can be.
