The film is based on the backstory of Virat Kohli. The film starts with Kohli travelling in a team bus as he goes down the memory lane staring out of the window. Starting at the locker room when he was seventeen years old. He has come to bat even though his dad passed away earlier that morning. We go through his neuroses. He then trains harder every day to reach various peaks in his career, creating an unmatched table of statistics as heard through a battery of commnetators at matches throughout his career. He however, trains through all of this. He is back in the team bus. He gets off amidst fanfare. He spots a little boy on his dad’s shoulders cheering him. He smiles at the child. Super: Inside is everything. Music: Judgement Day by Stealth. The lyrics adds a layer that helps us understand Virat’s psyche.
The trailer and the film was released by Virat on his social handles first. Virat also gifted a pair of headphones to his teamamtes who in turn shared the video on their social handles.
All audio gear was pre booked on the Amazon store in record time.
The TG was 13-19 year old Virat Kohli fans. Music is the most important driver when it comes to this set. We wanted the music to remain with them during their most intimate moments, inspiring them even when things go wrong. We wanted a track that provided the following: a) the right atmosphere for the story b) help them understand the very intimate nature of the story and fill in for the lack of dialogues to understand the neuroses of Virat Kohli. c) music that they would inspiring and listen to when they workout
Music is to workout what gas is to a car. It's many things rolled into one - a trigger, a mood setter, a pace maker and a quasi-cheerleader. The right workout music embodies a raw and visceral emotion, it sets the atmosphere, gets under the skin and injects an adrenaline rush like no other protein can. The strategy was to put together a music piece that not only brings alive the emotion of Virat's backstory but also pumps the viewer and subtly brings alive the power of 'noise cancellation' in the headphones.
