Brief Explanation

Love is eternal. Love is equal. Love doesn’t condescend to seek to find the differences in our better natures. She inspires us, unites us and lifts us up in a way that reveals we are all truly equal. This is the story of a love that transcends borders and of love in all its forms.

Execution

The focus in the wedding film was to capture the intimate moments that happen behind the scenes between our characters before, during, and after the ceremony in the most authentic way. We wanted the audience to feel like they’d been let behind closed doors during a family’s wedding preparations and we wanted to focus on the imperfections that surround all of us during a wedding and bring them to the surface. We loved the challenge of battling the New Zealand weather for exteriors whilst trying to create an environment for the actors (who’d only just met) to feel comfortable with each other and deliver performances that suggest they’re a real family. Shooting the entire film in one day meant we had to embrace the weather we were given and give ourselves enough time to allow our actors to find the more intimate moments.
