The objective is to clearly show the consumers the dark side of consuming Genetically modified foods. They use this entry as poster/banner during their rallies and force the congress to pass a stringent screening of imported GMO food items, specially corn and eggplant. Consumer Rights for Safe Food (CRSF) founding President Padilla-Chua is asking the government to practice caution. It should do actual studies on the effects of GMOs on the health of humans and animals before allowing GMOs into the country and into our food supply. "Many countries have recognized the dangers of GMOs and have banned them. I hope our government does the same," she says. According to American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM), GMOs are unhealthy. Here are their findings and we are quoting them: They cite animal studies showing organ damage, gastro-intestinal and immune system disorders, accelerated aging, and infertility. Human studies show how genetically modified food can leave objects inside us, possibly causing long-term problems.
