With the “7-Eleven Piano Coin Donation Box,” you’ll never ignore a donation box again. At the same time you give your change to charity, you’re playing the piano. “Piano” + “Coin Donation Box” = “Piano Coin Donation Box.” With this fun outdoor interactive installation, anyone can play a captivating note, simply by inserting a coin in a slot. Suddenly, making a donation turned into a wonderful interactive process, greatly amplifying people’s eagerness to give. Our piano/donation box toured Taiwan, coming into direct contact with consumers in ubiquitously popular 7-Eleven convenience stores. Some folks dropped their spare change, while others put on their own concerts. There was even a virtuoso 8-hand performance of the classical piece “Liebestraum,” which we captured as a documentary that went viral on the internet.
