To express our gratitude to the Internet, we expressed the vast history of the internet in a single chronology.
After the launch, we counted over 3500 shares in the first 12 hours. Users eagerly looked for services they used or works they did in the past.
Over 11,000 shares, over 2,100 retweets, 1,700,000 page views. Companies such as Evernote made a favorable tweet on their official account. It turned into a promotion that involved not only Yahoo! JAPAN but also other Internet companies and celebrities.
Targets are the All Internet users in Japan. We picked up 1300 topics from the history of the internet from 1995 to 2016, and we visualized them all in detailed illustrations. Then we made a huge poster of 2.5m high and 18.6m wide. We also created a special website where by clicking each topic, users can know more and share the details of the history.
