Burgundy wanted to make consumers feel confident that they have not made an expensive mistake. So we created the Origami lamp, a D.I.Y paper lamp made by famous local artist, which was an exact replica of the lamp the customer is interested in.
Burgundy collaborated with famous Thai Origami artist Pub Piab Riab Roy to make paper replicas of 120 Burgundy lamp designs. When customers received the lamps, they were asked to assemble the paper lamp themselves in a few easy steps. The Origami Lamp was also powered with light sticks that lasted up to 5 hours.
28% of customers who asked to sample the Origami lamps bought to real lamp.
The Origami lamp was sent to the store’s undecided customers. Once they saw what the lamp looked against the décor in their homes, they were could order the lamp from the store. A QR code at the back of the lamp also gave them a chance to buy the lamp with one click.
