Wild Asia’s Green Office Initiative received numerous enquiries, resulting in a 17% increase of traffic on their website. Currently Wild Asia is involved implementing tailor-made programs for several companies including a plantation and agriculture company by drawing up policies aimed at reducing resource use and waste.
Mock-ups of a giant filofax papers were wedged in squarely on tree branches, mimicking the blade of a saw accompanied by the line “Save Paper Save Trees”.
The Wild Asia Green Office initiative is designed to help corporations create a sustainable office environment by promoting environmentally friendly alternatives within the workplace in their daily operations. Wild Asia engages, trains and offers advice to their staff at all levels on how to best apply environmental practices within their organization. Many executives carry filofax folders with disposable paper, and this, apart from the normal A4 print paper, is often disposed off with little regard for the environment. As for the execution, a filofax folder page was ‘torn out’ and placed squarely on a tree branch, mimicking the blade of a saw with the line “Save Paper Save Trees”. The “Paper Cut” paper was implemented on several trees within the KL Central Business District, in full view of passerby’s and pedestrians making their way to work. This installation meant both impact and prudence; maximum exposure at minimum expenditure.
