Armed with only a limited budget, our idea was to offer users the opportunity to get closer to the celebrity, who appears in the commercial film of NESCAFÉ GOLDBLEND. We developed the world's first celebrity-voice robot, called “CELEVOICE”. When users type in words or phrases, those phrases are read back to them in celebrity's voice. A total of about 600,000 user messages are read. We were able to accomplish this in just five hours recording and without having to spend billions of yen in contract fees to the celebrity had we asked him to read all of the messages.
