Research identified Australia’s use of Foursquare was multiplying with more than 60,000 users in Sydney. We tapped into this influential audience by creating the world’s first Office Mayor Meetup 2010, which played to the exclusiveness of Foursquare users, while positioning Microsoft Australia as a leader of social media. The campaign had an overall reach of over 5.6 million via print, online news, blog coverage and Twitter – reaching more than a quarter of the Australian population. Key achievements: more than 4.4 million UMV’s via online news & blog coverage; More than 560,000 Twitter impressions; Over 50 pieces of print coverage.
