Chinese New Year is a heavy promotion period for the Lipton brand. We decided to let users customize a Chinese New Year greeting, and send this ‘warm greeting’ to their loved ones. We created a viral comprised of three short films in where users could simply upload a photo of their face, and instantly be part of any of the three films. In addition to this content, users could type in a customized Chinese New Year greeting to forward along with the film. Within 5 weeks since it’s launch, ‘Lipton Cup of Greetings’ has engaged over 100 million users.
