The key objective was to let the card recipient experience the limitless creativity and unique solutions which could be possible with Pratham as his partner.To achieve this objective, the primary challenge was to represent the design in the constrained space of a business card. Also, the client meets and manages many contacts during his day's work, so the primary touch point - the business card, needed to be one that is engaging enough to be remembered for long.
The brief was to represent the organization's vision and mission into its brand elements, from the name to the stationery. The vision is putting the clients' need first. The name 'Pratham' was chosen with this regard to represent the vanguard operations of the company. The mission is to provide quality human solutions for diverse business needs. This degenerates down to three primary qualities of Pratham - Flexibility, Creativity and Limitless solutions. These three qualities needed to be represented in the brand as well as its stationery.
After trying many pragmatic solutions for the business card design, and various metaphors for flexibility, creativity and infinite-ness, we developed a new Tangram character representing a human being. Then the traditional Tangram was adapted to the dimensions of a conventional business card and attached to the card as a flap which could be detached and used as a Tangram puzzle, thus creating the unique engaging experience for the card recipient.
The business card was well received and highly appreciated by the Pratham work force. They in-turn gave us a positive feedback from their clients' end.
