As part of our efforts to preserve the planet and create sustainable business, we wanted to encourage our clients and their business partners to reduce environmental impact in their daily business operations. And help them see that change had to come from the top.
This is an agency initiative so there was no client brief.
As an initiative for our clients, we developed specially customised 'growing business cards' for their top management, by modifying their existing business cards. Each card contained flower seeds, with each design crafted using elements related to the client's business. An insert was also enclosed, calling for the recipient to plant the seeds for a brighter, greener future. The cards were then handed out by each client's top management to their business partners at meetings.
This initiative drew praise from both the clients and their business partners, and created a tipping point by moving recipients to develop their own sustainable business plan. Even better, not only did these business cards end up in prominent hands, many responded by planting the seeds - literally and by word of mouth. So much so, we are extending this initiative to other clients.
