The Promo “Bundesliga – Home to Asian Players” is aimed to deliver an insight on influences from asia on the Bundesliga in the most entertaining way. It is a fast paced one minute look at the Bundesliga and it’s heroes from Asia now and then, presented in visual engaging images, showcasing all the emotions and all the entertainment the Bundesliga has to offer – also thanks to it’s Stars from Asia. This is the BUNDESLIGA. This is THE HOME TO ASIAN PLAYERS. This is…. FOOTBALL AS IT’S MEANT TO BE.
Asian player have been welcomed to the Bundesliga for decades, they have influenced this league in style of play, as well as in cultural exchange, crossing bridges between Europe and Asia. This is a tribute to the players, their skills, their goals and any other way how they left their mark and helped the Bundesliga to become what it is known for today – the most entertaining football league in world.
Since the original idea for this clip was to present lots of facts, names and numbers the challenge was to stir all of this up and make those numbers and names come a live with emotional imagery and sound. The creative idea here was to flash the facts in big letters while telling the story at a high pace in the background throwing images at the viewer filled with emotion and exceptionality.
The strategy was to entertain and inform at the same time and never let the viewers attention slip away, this was achieved by establishing the whole Bundesliga set up slowly and then move to recital-like facts flying past us and still holding up the tension for more to come… Players, stars, records, incredible numbers. It was build to be a highly intense rollercoaster ride with a mix of emotion and facts, breathless, but impressive and with a heavy impact on the viewer.
As fast paced as the character of the clip itself, the production had the same kind of intensity. This was actually quite helpful to get the feel for what we wanted to create. There was not much time in production, so we needed to be efficient and make every second count. All of that is reflected in the final result and very well executed by the production team.
