KT has a vision for people across the globe to experience the world’s first commercialized 5G technology. Therefore, KT has launched an exhibition booth where people can participate and interact directly with 5G technology and services.
KT has been hosting promotion events for 5G technology across major multiple international cities, like Seoul, Barcelona, LA, Shanghai, and more, but due to the volume of visitors and space restrictions of the exhibition booth only a limited number of visitors have been able to fully enjoy the experience with 5G technology. In order to provide a better experience, KT has developed an exhibition booth project that is not limited by the physical constraints of the exhibition booth and number of visitors.
The KT has developed 5G AR docent program by utilizing an AR (Augmented Reality) solution that allows for the experience of 5G technology and services in real time at the exhibition hall.
To differentiate the experience from a traditional exhibition space, AR has been designed with a futuristic art concept transforming the space into a dynamic exhibition booth.
A tablet PC is provided at the entrance, where the AR docent system will give visitors an augmented and dynamic experience of the history of KT 5G technology, Skyship and AI Hotel. - Timeline Preparation for launch: May 18th ~ June 18th, 2019. The project was a success with approximately 2,500 visitors per hour, totaling 75,000 visitors over 3 days, with a line of visitors waiting for 20 minutes to enter.
