Gaya Raya Paling Ori tells the tale of Wak Nik, a courier delivery man from Kelantan working in KL. Since young, Wak Nik has always been fashionable with his own unique style. He’s always the one who keeps up with the latest trends and hates it when someone else copies the same style. Never one to back down from being original, Wak Nik finds himself in a dilemma when the time comes to celebrate the Eid festivities. One of the main highlights during this period, Malay Muslims in Malaysia celebrate by wearing the traditional Malay costume, but Wak Nik doesn't just want to blend in with the rest. Does he respect the tradition and don the traditional 'Baju Melayu' (traditional Malay costume for men) like everyone else or prioritise his own happiness by standing out among the crowd in his original way?
The film was intended to take a comedic spin in terms of direction. Referencing current social trends such as memes and viral content in the story adds a light-hearted flavour to the film that appeals to the everyday Malaysian mass.
