We see children who’ve been sleeping with their stud football shoes on – waking up in the wee hours of the morning. Before their feet hit the ground, they’re passing a football back and forth with their legs. The tempo of the music picks up, as we see them – tightening their laces, praying to their gods – stepping out of their houses -already playing football. They play the game in barren fields, in abandoned buildings and roofs, in their living rooms knocking over cups of teas – clueless to their surroundings. In small towns, big cities, and the in-betweens – their fever for football consumes them – with the ball and their feet the only thing that’s in focus. As the music crescendoes –we see signs of football madness everywhere – in the walls that surround the places where they play is their passion for the game.
The root of the idea was to embody the unfettered passion for the game – that only children are untamed enough to feel, experience and act on. The devout fervour with which they are focused on only their love for the game, to the exclusion of all other things was the core theme driving the direction of the ad.
