As sporty as BMW cars are, the brand also wants to appeal to parents who need more than just “driving pleasure”. So for the launch of new X3, we made a short film that targets those young parents and announced it on Father’s Day. The film tells the story of a man – whose son lovingly watches him deal with the pressures of being a reliable father and a successful businessman. However, because the son does not fully understand the complexity of his father’s life – he imagines a fantastical world where in order to spend time with him, his father must fight off fantastical villains such as a Dark Queen, a gang of Kung Fu fighters, hostile kidnappers, and ultimately escapes them all in a near death car chase with the help of the BMW X3.
