In order to raise awareness of MS and to promote a better understanding the symptoms of MS,?we held the sport event in which everyone could participate. In the event, we unveiled a new sport called “Seesaw Tamaire.” This sport was modified the Japanese traditional sport “Tamaire” in collaboration with MS patients, specialist physicians and professionals in sports development. In the rule of Seesaw Tamaire, if you keep tossing the balls in the catcher basket, it tilts the basket like a seesaw and the balls fall out, giving the participants a 30-second break. This rule represents fatigue as one of the symptoms of MS and promotes a better understanding of MS symptoms as participants have an experience it. After the event, we began providing the equipment of Seesaw Tamaire, and it has become a popular sport among the elderly, children, disabled persons and MS patients.
