We wanted to showcase the car using a soft comedy approach and one of the key elements of the creative was to use well know Malaysian YouTube talents. JinnyboyTV is a hugely popular YouTube channel and to capitalize on their widespread popularity and sizable fanbase, we tapped into their high profile talents. Using this as a way to spread the word socially and getting the product exposed to a wider audience. The creative was shot locally in Malaysia including the key product shots, making it a seamless communication. Inspired by the detective comedy Brooklyn Nine Nine, we recreated a stakeout scenario. Detectives are always in cars watching and waiting. This is where our stars injected some fun humour into the spot, at the same time soft selling the features of the Subaru XV.
