Several months after the Big Tsunami Disaster in 2011, they started a small project in Kesennuma city, a small city in Tohoku Japan. They recruited “Knitters” to work for this project, and they trained Knitters to have high-leveled skills. In Kesennuma, pretty many people have been familiar with knitting, since Kesennuma is a Fishermen’s City. Fishermen knit their own fishing nets usually. Their project grew little by little. In 2013 they established “Kesennuma Kitting Co.,Ltd”, and they started a small business which is very precious for Kitters and Consumers, and of course for Kesennuma City. In this Web-Movie, we can see how Knitters knit high quality sweaters “Etude”, one of their main products, and how they are enjoying this project in this beautiful city.
