n the Philippines, there is no government agency dedicated to the welfare of homeless animals, and the overwhelming task of caring for them falls solely on non-profit organizations like CARA Welfare Philippines. Daunted by the overpopulation of abandoned animals, CARA wanted to encourage potential pet owners to consider adopting rescue pets. The power of compassion is conveyed in the simplest way possible: by showing the real animals who have been rescued by CARA and re-homed with owners who nursed them back to health. The photos are from the CARA rescue team; they were not photo-shopped or altered in any way. As the film recognises the efforts of the owners who gave these animals a new lease on life, it also hopes to inspire others to do the same.
