Spoon is a Japanese film production company that excels in digital effects and complex filming techniques. But Spoon also does a lot of old-school type of TVCs, and they are often thought to be less innovative than they actually are. Then they decided to make a self-promotion website in an unique way.
Many film production companies have plain names that easy to remember, but most of them don’t really mean anything. Spoon, the film production, is one of them but by creating this “Spoon’s Spoon Shop” gave the meaning to their company name.
Spoon launched an e-commerce site for spoons. A site that can sell thousands of different types of spoons, without any inventory.
Within 3 weeks of its launch, 651 spoons and 651 spoon films were created on the website.
