Brief Explanation

To celebrate Sonic The Hedgehog's 25th Anniversary, we created a new Sonic title for Australian fans. Working with SEGA Japan, we developed Sonic Vision - an Augmented Reality game that transformed Sonic into a real world experience that fans could play across Australia using their iPhone. We turned outdoor posters & stickers into rings by embedding augmented reality markers ('glyphs') into each poster design. Players located the rings using the in-app map & GPS to reveal the rings locations. Players earned 5000 points per ring with difficult to access locations rewarding players with 50,000 points.
