Background: Tempo Icy Menthol is a new, menthol-scented facial tissue. With its refreshing scent and clean, refreshing feeling, Tempo Icy Menthol gives people an instant lift. The campaign dramatized this product benefit with the catch-cry of ‘Power Up‘ and a series of executions involving the rapid speeding up of everyday activities to a frenzied pitch. In this commercial, a hairstylist is bored with his work and with the gossip of his customers. But when he tries Tempo Icy Menthol, everything changes. He is refreshed and re-energised and completes his work with such vigour that soap bubbles flood the salon. Meanwhile the customers catch his enthusiasm and jump up to dance, all to a frenzied drum beat. Results: Sales of Tempo Icy Menthol increased rapidly (just like the executions) after the campaign launched. Facebook fans of Tempo Icy Menthol doubled.
