Almost all of the 20,000 musculoskeletal injuries sustained by Victorian workers each year are the result of a worker or a supervisor taking a risk. This campaign had to make workers and supervisors seriously question themselves the next time they consider taking a chance with safety at work. Enter The Pain Game where workers and supervisors have a great chance of winning excruciating injuries as a result of the short cuts they’ve decided to take. The game show provides the ideal vehicle to illustrate the wide array of injuries that can be ‘won’ and the painful rehabilitation that one can look forward to. The concept is bizarre and performances are very funny but in no way hijack the seriousness of the message – Never take a chance with safety.
