We choose the event space carefully. The books store where we held the exhibition was known to deal with fresh and unique products. Unfortunately, many copy tapes are sold in Taiwan market, we needed to keep the dignity as the original. The book store was ideal for the launch event outside Japan. The most important task was how to guide many passengers who don’t know about ‘mt’ tapes to the event space in 3rd floor.
Masking Tapes are usually used as a curing-tape in construction site, ‘mt’masking tapes are popular as household goods. This promotional exhibition named ‘mt ex’ has been held all over Japan and clients planed to hold the first oversea exhibition in Taiwan. Some‘mt’tapes go on sale in Taiwan already, clients wanted to introduce the wide range of variations properly and present the new aspects of ‘mt’tapes usage. They took this opportunity to launch ‘mt’tapes into oversea market.
We designed the space covered by ‘mt’ tapes and show customers the new possibility of usage. We decorated the main entrance of the building, the floor, the staircases and the escalator by ‘mt’ tapes, so that the stripe carpets guide customers to the exhibition space in the 3rd floor. We exhibited thousands of balloons made by Washi paper which is the former paper of ‘mt’ tapes. I aimed to show customers many aspects of mt tapes through these unique experiences.
We succeeded in guiding passengers to the exhibition space and the sales was a ringing success. Customers took pictures in front of the entrance and uploaded website, so we got a large turnout till the end of the event.
