The Brief

Consolidate Yahoo! Search as the top search engine in Taiwan and to fight against Google.

Describe how the promotion developed from concept to implementation

We emphasize on its local characteristic as the strongest advantage point. We, therefore, create a humongous picture - the Taiwan version of "Along The River During The Qingming Festival" (The longest and the most representative painting in Song Dynasty, which mimic the civic life in Beijing city at the time), made by the photos we took from the southernmost cities to the northernmost in Taiwan.

Describe the success of the promotion with both client and consumer including some quantifiable results

The event site had attracted 1,453,557 visitors, 47.9% of these visitors were willing to participate in the event, and left over 300,000 clicks. Most of the visitors not only searched other peoples’ stories, but also shared their own.

Explain why the method of promotion was most relevant to the product or service

We notice that when people talking about their important people, unforgettable things, or memorial places, they usually describe them from the images that emerged in their minds. Therefore, our picture of Taiwanese "Along The River During The Qingming Festival" was displayed in front of the viewers as the arousal. Every area on the picture can inspire people to relate their meaningful local stories by tagging. Furthermore, every tagged story can be told and searched by the most local and unbeatable search engine: Yahoo! Search. Tell your story with Yahoo! Search!
