Challenge: Snickers needed to raise awareness and get consumers to trial the product while increasing sales volume in a highly competitive category using a limited media budget. Solution: Create a viral app in Facebook whereby people invite their friends to contribute one Snickers piece each until the bag is full in order to receive the bag for free themselves. Results: The “Satisfy Hunger With Your Gang” had 197,503 people contribute Snickers, 90,780 bags created, and 40,000 Snickers distributed. The Facebook Fanpage likes grew from 50 people to 142,766 during the 4 week campaign.
