Brief Explanation

The Japan’s first AR campaign was featured in various media (TV, newspapers, magazines) as well as becoming hugely popular on social media. We developed an iPhone app to feature the giant character with GPS and AR. The character also updated his location on Twitter, where he also shared local tourism information, appealing to people in Kyushu and entire Japan. Although the app only worked in Kyushu, Number of app downloads: over 12,000 Number of related tweets: over 15,000 Campaign site PV: over 1.2 million As a result, the opening day’s ticket was sold out just in 15 seconds.
