Tata DOCOMO, one of the fastest growing telecom operators in India has been especially popular with the youth and extremely active on Social media. The challenge was to leverage the community to generate revenue. Aggressive promotions and engagements were undertaken to keep the community engaged while building numbers. Once the community had reached critical mass, we began to monetize it. Integration was built between Facebook, the website ecommerce API’s and the backend billing system and exclusive offers were launched. Over INR 10 million was generated from the community in a few months’ time.
