The brief for the Tata DOCOMO website was to make it integral to managing, acquiring and retaining customers. It was reworked to show information in an intuitive way and help consumers transact online. It incorporated tools like Live Chat Helpline, bandwidth usage calculator and best plan selector to assist consumers. Introduction of ecommerce including GPRS pack purchase, VAS pack purchase, Online Recharge helped generate sizable revenue. The mobile m-commerce website incorporated MSISDN detection to identify the mobile number of subscribers, a technological innovation. With 300% increase in users and sizable ecommerce revenues the site is now integral to business.
