To immerse our audience in Army life we used digital and traditional channels to document five Army personnel, providing an up-close and personal look into their lives and careers. Users could explore each soldier’s career story through photos, memorabilia and stories from their own family lives, giving a truly authentic and tangible experience of Army life. Media was spread across online, social, outdoor and television, centering around a hero video piece house on the DefenceJobs website. The campaign resulted in over 65,000 visits to the Rising Sun microsite and an increase in job enquiries to the Australian Army of 60%.
