Terminix, a leading worldwide pest control company has just entered the Indonesian market. The problem was not just announcing its presence in the country but to find a better and effective way to showcase Terminix’s expertise. With our target market being focused in city centers and are smart phone users, an app was created. Study showed that pests are deterred to a specific range of frequency sound. So we used this fact to create the app ‘Bug Off’ to help emphasize that Terminix is the expert in pest control. The app would allow people to pick any one of the five pests and once the app is activated, a high frequency sound would be transmitted through the smart phone and pests would be deterred. Once the app is off in a few minutes of pest control demonstration, people would be directed to Terminix’s call line if they would like to know more about Terminix’s expertise for their home.
