K-gold is a 18k gold jewellery line for young Chinese fashionistas. But it's sold only in posh jewellery stores where our target is intimidated to go in, so they never learn about the trendy designs. K-gold created a fresh way to do product sampling. Using an Augmented Reality Mirror, Fashionistas virtually tried on the latest collection at home. This pushed purchase intent earlier and made women confident on what they want when walking in a jewellery store. Over 8000 pieces of the designs featured online were sold within 3 months. Total K-gold market increased by 10% in 2010.
