The EQA Jukebox live musical installation harnessed the power of lightning to play Billboard’s hottest songs. That’s right, we made electricity sing! Using 2 Electrical Resonant Coils, emitting 200,000 Watts of electricity, we played popular music like The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights, Dua Lipa’s Levitating and more live. The custom Coils and the installation were designed to safely contain the bolts of electricity so our audience could come within feet of the Coils. We parked the EQA squarely between the Coils to ensure the car received plenty of attention. We also adapted QR codes and a WhatsApp chatbot to turn our installation into an activation that let our audience choose the electrified songs they wanted to hear live. We played our electrified music in front of thousands of mallgoers in one of Hong Kong’s busiest and largest malls, New Town Plaza, during the 3-day live musical car show experience.
