The writing is in the form of a letter from the abandoned animals to their owners. It chronicles the journey they’ve been on. Starting with hope and optimism. Where a pet found solace in a new owner and enjoyed all the time they spent together during the lockdown. It captures how humans adapted to staying at home and their pets being a constant companion. But when the world began to open up and the owners got back to their normal routines, they began to neglect their pets and ultimately abandon them. This is where the writing takes a twist, shifting from a story of hope to one of despair. Where the fate of the pet is abandonment. The writing and the instances are relatable to any pet owner, which makes it all the more impactful, when they realise it’s from the perspective of an abandoned pet.
