Write a short summary of what happens in the film.

With the release of the new Godzilla movie, BOSS, a canned coffee company that is a "buddy of working people," has released a tribute ad, visualizing the true story of a filmmaker who created a filming technique called "TOKUSATSU" to create Godzilla in Japan in 1954. The story of how Godzilla, one of Japan's most famous movies, was made into a 60-second film.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

In the 1950s, movies were the single greatest source of entertainment for the Japanese people who were battered by World War II. Godzilla was the first Japanese movie to make it to Hollywood, and it is still a very popular movie with new releases in the US. The commercial is based on the true story of when Godzilla was first created in 1954, and is a tribute to the filmmakers who learned from Hollywood's film technology and tried to create Japan's own unique special effect technology "TOKUSATSU". The advertiser, BOSS coffee, is loved in Japan as a "working person's buddy". This commercial is a crystallization of the respect that Boss Coffee has for all workers and filmmakers.

Tell the jury anything relevant about the cinematography.

The film was shot with careful historical research. We faithfully recreated the Western filming techniques of 1930-1950, such as "blue background synthesis," "projection mapping," and "stop motion. For the historical story of Japan that created the unique Japanese special effect "TOKUSATSU", the Godzilla movie staff actually participated in the filming using real buildings and model suits. The whole story is connected by 3,300 dominoes. It is a symbol of the relay of passion of the filmmakers.
