This is an epic story about travel and space exploration. Through the powerful technological features of the FINDX3 smartphone, the explorers chase a mysterious asteroid that unknown to them contains the power to awaken colour and bring a planet back to life that was on the verge of extinction.

Cultural / Context information for the jury

In China, FindX is a high-end series of smartphones known for the brand spirit of human’s curiosity for exploration and discovering the unknown. But we are not well established as a technology and premium brand globally. To make differentiation among other brands, we want to embed a brand spirit story into an informative product feature demo film.

Tell the jury about the production design / art direction.

To simulate the outer planet environment we studied the production design from lots of sci-fi movies. We explored locations in Bardenas Reales in Spain, and found all the right frames and angles to portray an unseen nature. The space lab, spacesuit, and robot are all well-designed with lots of descriptions on function and usage to sync with the storyline with a purpose. Every aspect of this film echoes the design elements of the FindX3. From the spacecraft, space suits, even the UI on the screens contains details from the phone.
