The film highlights the prejudice little girls face in fulfilling their dreams. The difficulty and social stigma that a female sport player has to face before finding their success. This story talks about the taunts and ridicules faced by a female shooter who fights it and makes her way to represent the country at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. This fight is against the reluctance her family members, peers, competition, society as a whole placed on her. A fight she fought hard where she successfully managed to proved them all wrong.
It was important to show the struggles Manu faced right from childhood all the way until where she has reached today. This film had to show the progress of a leading female shooter’s journey in a short span of time. Using action match cuts as a transition device helped in portraying this journey. The graph of the film was also building up to tension to finally a burst of emotions where you see Manu representing her country with pride.
