This film breaks down gender diversity taboos among children and raises awareness about their rights. All children deserve an equal opportunity to grow up in a safe and loving environment. The film portrays a shy young boy smiling while wearing a woman’s scarf as he sees his reflection in a mirror. The movie captures the pivotal moment of self-recognition.
The film portrays a shy young small town Indian boy, his family is flying kites on the rooftop, a typical activity in small Indian towns, when his mother sees him sulking she asks him if he wants to fly kites for a bit he isn't interested by that activity at all. He realises every member of the house is busy flying kites, so he decides to go to a dressing area & he begins to dress up in Indian woman's attire. He is smiling & joyous as he is wearing a bindi (a sticker worn by Indian women on the centre of their forehead), traditional Indian bangles, applying lipstick & draping a woman's scarf over the head (traditional to Indian women). He then dances in this attire.
Keeping to the theme of the film the genre picked for the music track is Indian folk music. The music track is sung by a child who doesn't have any formal music/singing training, he was organically discovered from a city called Rajasthan, India where folk music prevails.
